So how much longer Bishop Di Lorenzo will you remain deaf to the pleas of the people of Williamsburg. It is time to make a change. The diocese is allowing our Pastor to make a mockery of the Catholic faith .Enough already!

WRONG!!! This is not strictly a Catholic mausoleum but a non denominational mausoleum!!! And the battle wages on, as Bishop Di Lorenzo decided to celebrate Mass at St.Bede to appease the Masses opposed to this project. Make no mistake Bishop Di Lorenzo please do not come to St Bede lauding the wonders of this mausoleum come to St.Bede understanding we are in need of spiritual healing.

You'll get a "process" with a study, a survey and a few meetings the results of which will be put on a shelf and the mindless beauracracy will keep on rolling along!

Beaurocracy is the name of the game. It makes up for the lack of zeal that permeates much of the catholic church these days.

No eucharist, know Community. Bread and wine have oulived their usefulness. In fact, they are divisive. It's time for us to sing a new church into being, We celebrate! We believe!

To hm...: I did not see a recent comment in the "spam comment" folder. However there was a long Editorial comment that had been placed in the spam folder. I released it as non-spam. It was dated 10/15 and was a comment in the "Hot Button Issue" article. You can read it there...

Don't know how it got started but Bishop DiLorenzo was NOT at Saint Bede's for a mass on the Marine Corps anniversary as someone posted in the Last Word of the Virginia Gazette. In fact, he does not seem to be involved at all with the Mausoleum affair, as evidenced by a letter to the editor of the Gazette advising on the writer's disappointment with the Bishop' hands-off approach. See the Virginia Gazette letters for Nov 23 and 26. The issue still bubbles along down here; the James City County legal counsel found a 2006 VA statute which limited the distance between cemetaries and homes to such a degree the Saint Bede counsel withdrew the issue from Board of Supervisors' hearing this month and next month as well.

See the mausoleum picture show on the Saint Stephen Martyr Chesapeake site for an idea of what it would like like if built. The current pastor at Saint Bede was the pastor there in 2009 when it was built.
