Advent Homilies From the Diocesan Office of Vocations

An Advent resource:

Vocation Office Launches Internet Homily Service For Advent!

Are you looking for a new way to create a Spiritual focus for Advent? The Office of Vocations is launching a daily on-line Advent homily service called "Prepare the Way." These daily reflections, based on the Scripture readings for Mass, are intended to provide a spiritual resource for adults, young adults and teens throughout the Advent Season. Go to http://www.behindthecollar.com, and click on the "Prepare the Way" banner. You can also sign up for a daily email reminder and link for each homily. Please join us as we "Prepare the Way of the Lord" together!

This is awesome. Maybe their next step to the 21st Century will be a willingness to enter into a conversation with the people of this diocese via blogs such as this one. Maybe they're not as afraid of the 21st Century as I thought....I guess only time will tell...depending on whether they ever answer the questions that have been posed regarding the widespread hiding of tabernacles across the diocese and other questions that the faithful and faithless of this diocese have posed.

I was unable to find anywhere to sign up for email reminders. Other than that this seems like a great page, especially the links to the YouTube videos.

I also could find no way to subscribe for email updates... Sorry, I didn't check out the reminder info before placing it on the blog.

Perhaps, signing up in the YouTube area will give you the email link.

Is the Richmond Diocese going to publish anything regarding the new Mass that the Vatican is shoving down our Bishops' throats?

The reform of the deform is long overdue. It's about returning to God centered worship from an unfortunate devolution into emphasis on musical performers and How Great We Art. In this diocese I expect massive resistance.

Many thanks for the blog and please keep up the good work. We certainly need something like this after the demise of the earlier blog.
